Why a Leadership Program?

Sikh Youth Australia conducts Leadership Programs for senior Sikh youth aged 18 years and above - pitched at those currently in higher education or young professionals in the workforce.

Attended by over 100 youths each year, these Programs focus on providing an edge for our youths to be successful leaders in their university or work environments. In an interactive environment, the youths are taught skills in leadership, problem solving, negotiation and entrepreneurial skills.

We have sponsored successful Sikhs around the world to inspire our youth and give them a ‘step up’ in their professional lives and careers. There is also a focus on meditation, success in the context of Sikhism and developing self-realisation.

Our aim is to empower Sikh youths with leadership skills and qualities so they can progress in their chosen life and career paths. The Programs also enable them to work as teams, thus gaining a better understanding of how to form and maintain strong relationships with others.

The Programs allow the Sikh youth of Australia to network, serving as a forum for them to discuss topical issues of today. Program participants usually come away with a better understanding of their personal goals and directions as well as eyes wide open to the endless opportunities ready to be seized!
